Last week we introduced the idea that you should be making sure that you are in the habit of capturing as many opportunities as you possibly can on video. Whether that is capturing your clients sharing their stories, your team running a client seminar or event, or perhaps just capturing those team bonding moments like birthdays and group activities.
The only obstacles that are in the way of you ensuring that you leverage these amazing opportunities is a lack of knowledge, a fear of the unknown, and the commitment to investing yourself into just doing it!
Today we are going to use another of our most recent videos as an example in breaking down how you can be continuously going back to use these moments to share your story and to help people connect with WHO YOU ARE as professionals.
All of those amazing moments made for great testimonials for our AdviserEdge event in their own right and are examples of what you should be capturing at your own client functions and events. However, as we are trying to show you, your old footage is a gift that just keeps on giving, because you can recombine it in new and exciting ways, just like we have done above in our testimonial montage for AdviserEdge. It’s relatively easy to do and it’s FUN!
Just to show you that I always make sure to live what I preach, this week I was on site working with one of our favourite clients, Jenny Brown and her awesome team at JBS Financial Strategists. I had just spent the day working with them to create the next evolution of their Social strategy and I was a little tired (and my brain was definitely ‘full’), however I made sure to capture this very quick and simple video to post up on our Facebook page.
Now before you say ‘that’s ok for you Baz, you are The Social Adviser’, and think this stuff won’t work for you… I’m here to tell you that it will, and that you can indeed make this a part of your daily professional habits.
