Google + is ALIVE and is more important than you realize…

October 15, 2015 By Adam Bannister

Example of how google+ helped Delta Financial Group rank Google+ isn’t part of my daily routine. If you are just like me, you might have overlooked the most powerful social media platform there is when it comes to business.

Last week I received an email from my local electrical serviceman. He was thanking me for payment and asking if I could provide him with a ‘Google+ Business Review’ because he was working on his online reputation. I liked this follow up and his request that I submit a review as it is something all companies should be doing. It never hurts to ask, you just need a little courage.

This is the reason why he is ranking high on Google in the competitive market of electrical servicemen in my area. Google+ for business is a game changer.

Have you overlooked it?

Google+ Business, as you can see from the image, makes you stand out from the crowd when looking at the Google search results page.

A company with reviews will rank higher and also gain more business based on the quality of reviews they receive. They allow Google to verify the quality of the business when providing data on the results page and rank those businesses higher. It is also in Google’s interest to provide people with the best possible results.

Additionally, Google+ allows you to establish your place on Google Maps when your profile includes your business address. You will also be classed as “verified” and the map will visually display your location for people searching their local area for services. Providing Google+ with as much information as possible will help you rank better and in the process increase your web presence. This combined with customer and client reviews will make you unstoppable online!

Don’t let me be the only one to convince you. Google+ is still well and truly alive and is needed for the future for your business.

The reasons why Google doesn’t want you to give up on its social network just yet

Google hasn’t given up on Google+ even though the tech media loves proclaiming ‘Google+ is dead’. The recent changes discussed in the link below might just be enough to spark you to revisit or create your ‘Google+ for Business’ account:

 Do Online Reviews Really Matter?

Online reviews have been part of the Internet since the beginning, and they have not lost their interest to the general public. You can find reviews on most mainstream e-commerce sites, as well as on product review sites. Some review sites specialise in one industry, while others are a catch-all for anything and everything.
