Mastering Client Engagement in the business of Advice isn’t about having all the answers or being able to predict the future but it does mean being definitive with the language you use.
My suggestion is for you to record your client meetings and actually listen to the language you are using with a critical approach. Better still, have someone else who knows what they are doing review your approach.
Clients are looking for confidence and direction and someone to help them create an objective pathway with which to make decisions. How definitive you are in the language you use with clients is a major contributor to how they subconsciously experience the relationship with you.
If you are holding yourself back, then you may well be holding your clients back.
Are you being definitive enough with the language you are using with your clients?
