Whilst it is clear that you can generate a positive outcome from speaking with prospective clients, we spend far more time in our business looking after existing clients and relationships. Yet, every single day in communicating with those clients, we miss golden opportunities for either benefiting from the exchange or leading our clients to where we want them to go.
You may have guessed already, but today our tip is to build strong ‘Calls to Action’ into everything you do. You are most likely familiar with having strong Calls to Action on your website, but don’t miss the opportunity to do so via email, phone etc as well.
We’re not saying make your clients do something too drastic at the end of every email! But don’t be afraid to lead them somewhere you would like them to go. You’ll be surprised how willing your clients will be to help you out (after all, I’m sure you have done many great things for them) and in the process, they will be assisting you to jet propel your personal and business’ Social Strategy.
So what are some of the Calls to Action you can build into your everyday communication
- Directing clients to ‘Like’ your business’ Facebook page
- Asking them for a recommendation of your work on LinkedIn
- Sending them to your website’s video library
- Registering for an event you are running in the future
- Inviting them to sign up for an ’email mini course’ you have built
Ultimately, technology has made it easier than ever to interact with clients and let them help showcase the work you do. Don’t miss one of the best opportunities you have to build the engine that will drive your Social Strategy forward for years to come.
